With a quick search on Google Keywords we can find out the following:

• “Gaming forum” is searched 14,800 times monthly
• “Game forums” is searched 27,100 times monthly
• “Game forum” is searched 110,000 times monthly
• “Games forum” is searched 135,000 times monthly

Look at the slight difference in each case, yet it yields a completely different number of searches. Try searching these on Google and see how each one yields different results. That is how important the TITLE tag is for websites. I know it can seem ridiculous, but we live in a world governed by Google’s search, so we have to adapt to this.

So, the best TITLE tag for “Killerz Gamer” should be “Killerz Gamer – Games Forum.” That, in theory, should give him the most number of visitors on his site. Obviously competition over that keyword on Google will factor in, but you should always try and give your forum the best possible TITLE tag, even if there is huge competition over it.

DO NOT make your title “Killerz Gamer- Games Forum, Game Forum, Game Forums” that will actually kill your Google ranking. Google will flag websites like this as being over-optimized and it will actually lower your ranking by a lot. Never do anything like that and I just recently learned that having commas in your TITLE tag can actually hurt your forum’s SEO (search engine optimization). Notice how I just changed my blog’s TITLE tag as well!
